Watershed Education - Uses a table-top model to explain a watershed and pollution prevention solutions

"Water Isn't Wasted" (Hydration) - Introduces students to the impact, perceptions, and uses of water

"Water Isn't Wasted" (Filtration) - Teaches vocab while learning the history of water cleaning & delivery

"Water Isn't Wasted" (Coagulation) - Reviews natural vs. urban water use cycle and basic water cleaning

"Water Isn't Wasted" (Protection) - Focuses on pollutants entering our waterways and getting them out

Let's Go Outdoors is able to come to your classroom LIVE or VIRTUALLY to offer lessons on behalf of the Philadelphia Water Department. We can provide the traditional watershed lesson using the model pictured above, PLUS we have 4 new lessons related to "Water Isn't Wasted" focusing on either: Hydration, Filtration, Coagulation, and/or Protection. Grade/Age(s) *

Lessons are best for 3rd-5th graders and scheduled in-person OR virtually (using ZOOM, GoogleMeet, or other platform)
Teacher is required to be present (to take attendance, monitor online etiquette, Q/A, etc.)
Lessons last 30-45 minutes (*hands-on-activity* component adds 15-20 additional minutes)
If *hands-on-activity* is chosen, material list can be provided in advance, so that teacher/students have time to prepare
